One bit of advice, learn quickly what a pump and dump is- ie EGO 2 years ago- I flew from 20k invested to 100k, cashed in and called my husband that I fluked an 80k return in 20 minutes. Guess what, as it was still going up, I put it ALLLL back in, and had to call my husband 30 minutes later and tell him I lost it all- even most of my initial outlay.
He took it a whole lot better than me- but then I went on to find CVI- and yes, I met with and emailed the head honcho, and learned my first lesson about liars- I can't spot them all! So I lost on CVI- there are cases where I made money- but now I can sense a pump and dump and act accordingly-
good luck- and thank god for day jobs and a healthy family!
Also, you can always pick yourself up and have another go!
