Having a bit of a play on the Commsec International platform. Seems pretty seamless. Money transfer from existing Commsec account into international wallet was instantaneous and no apparent fees so far.
Even better you can set a stop-loss and/or profit sell order BEFORE your buy order has been hit so it is ideal for hands-free trading especially for you middle of the nighters. Doesn't look like we can participate in pre- or after-market though.
