This phenomenon is what those long term holders with knowledge have been trying to convince people of. Again, I am new, having only been trading since Oct. But TA and normal fundamentals don't apply quite the same, IMO. This is not a resource like oil, ore, coal, graphite etc. We are in the highest end luxury market. No body needs what LOM produce for any other reason than sheer appreciation of fine things, or to satisfy ego. As long as some people some where have lots of money there will be a demand for type 2a diamonds. Think cars. A bunch of manufacturers play in the family or everyday segment. They compete and the best survive. But they all run a fine line with huge infrastructure/capital, massive labor force from factory to dealership, and low margin. Slight downturn in economy and they all feel it very hard. Now look at the high luxury end, (i am not talking BMW Lexus). Totally different business model. Specialised, target market, pre sold, easy downturn response etc, far lower risk. The point I am trying to make is I don't look at this as a mining operation like BHP, Rio or even Catoca who produce for industrial use, Rather, it is more like Louis Vuitton, Tesla, Aston Martin, Moon Audio, (http://www.higherfi.com/audio_speakers/1)
This is why I see this very differently to other stocks and why the upside is sooooo good. Its like finding a endless supply of Iranian Beluga fish. And there are many people out there, not posting on HC who know it. Many will be accumulating, many waiting in the wings for the last pieces to fall into place. So if you want to trade this, which JD has shown can be done, go ahead. I am not taking the chance.
