Clearly what we've seen today is an orchestrated attack on the lithium sector as a whole. With BHP being a known client of GS, having worked on many deals over the years both on the buy and sell side, I wouldn't be surprised to find out in the near future that the two events were related.
BHP has recently stated that lithium mining isn't worth their time financially, GS saying that lithium will collapse - conveniently between now and the start of production at KV.
Not that I believe an offer would get approval but I would not be surprised to see a low ball TO offer put forward to LTR in the near future.
Remembering that these events don't just happen by chance, there's a reason these "random" events happen.
KV will be worth an enormous amount in the future, don't be gamed in the mean time.
