MrMcGee - could you just clarify the "less oil this year than last" statement?

My take is that overall 2012/13 produced quite a bit MORE oil than 2011/12. The 2nd half was flat with no increase and maybe slight decline in June, but 1st half was good increase on prior year. Overall i'd say MORE oil this year than last. Certainly all fields experienced decline in existing wells and others had more wells drilled to achieve this but surely it is unlikely gulf oil assets will take a write down?
