The evidence for the low grades was not comprehensive - the grades were estimated using three approx 15 kg samples taken from the crushing circuit. The three samples were accumulated by scooping from the belt hourly (about 1 kg per scoop) for a 12 hour period. Samples were then jaw crushed to 1mm and split into [three?] 2 kg samples which were analysed by cyanide leaching. The arithmetic average was determined for the 3 samples.
Looks like not much evidence to confirm that the head grade was about 2 g/t
