I still reckon Incredible Charts is pound for pound the most comprehensive and easiest to use charting software.
You could get away with using just the free version as long as you wernt a day trader. And if you were a day trader you could try using Commsec Iress and get it for free after doing 4 trades per month. They certainly dont have the best charts, but the price is right if your just starting out.
