Unforunately it is not the software that does much for you, but the proper USE of it. Which really needs experience to do properly and well.
Some of the built in indicators are useful, but not overly fantastic % odds in your favour, and also need a good trading system (money management) to ensure safety and the hopeful gains result over time.
I have, and use, Metastock, as a small portion of a much wider and complex system. But for a start, I have found that the built in MACD Expert Advisor function is a good indicator. You can pretty well use it in a simplistic system where you enter on the Buy signal and just exit (walk away) for any small loss position, but hold if heading up as expected. It will get far more right than wrong. Generally having the price being higher within days.
