Apology for the length and design of this post
Every FY I open a new Worksheet 'Shares 20xx' and transfer current holdings across from the previous year.
I open a new tab for every ticker when I buy shares and record the details. I add purchases as I go. I include the formula for a sell price at +11%; +26% and -10%. For quick referenceI do a new tab for sells. In the above ticker 'xxx' the sell tab would be 'xxx2' All sells for the same ticker in the same tab. I cut and paste from the BUY ticker tab to the SELL ticker tab as I trade.
I have anothertab which is an A=Z of SELLS. I cut and paste the contents of each SELL TICKERinto this list.
The final tab is the overall status. Total amounts for each tickerSo that is the basics of what I do. There are many other items in the status tab which gives me a very accurate current nett profit for tax purposes. Maybe a bit labour intensive but it has everything I need readily available.
