Why can't we do long term trades & supplement them with intraday trades?

That's what I do

Sometimes the xjo only gains 20 points per day for 2 weeks to gain 200 points
I will make more money with intraday shorts for backtesting or topping up long positions for intraday trades then if I just sat on a trade waiting for the daily chart movements

Especially in volatile environments like we have had for 2022

I do have an indicator where choppy conditions suggests dont take a trade despite chart looking good. It works well because its in choppy sideways markets on lower time frames is where traders lose most money.
