hi, i started looking at the sma and ema 200 with a 13 cross over for an entry on 5 minute and 15 minute charts but waiting for a 13 ema to cross gets me into trades a bit late. There is another indicator called dema which follows the price more closely, i have been using a 13 dema crossing a 200 ema or a 200 dema for an idea for an entry, you get some losing trades but with the 13 dema it crosses faster then an ema and can get you out of a trade with 10-20 pip loss unless the move is very quick.
I also have been using a 26-150-9 macd on my 5 minute chart, its a bit later then the normal macd but also keeps you in trends longer.
