Can I add, the beauty of mechanical systems set up properly, is they make you look at something without emotion or bias.

You can filter 1300 equities mechanically every day, but you only have to pick 2 or 3 per week with the right setup.

The problem with me, is emotion. Having mechnical flters means I repeatedly look through everything when it says a particular setup comes up.

Before this, I wrote stuff off due to bad experience and pessimism - to my detriment. Poor timing was 100% of the cause.
