Yes, I had that feature in my Live Bollinger Band Grid EA I started back in February. The problem lies of course it always seems to reverse around that point and suddenly you have a massive loss on one side. That happen to two pairs in the same week!
Bad luck, bad timing perhaps but it showed it didn't work.
I now trade it with a max of 5 trades. When a grind pushes a pair passed a certain point, I close the two oldest trades but let the EA trade against the trend in even bigger size. In back testing, this showed up with the best results without blowing my account.
