Morning folks, here's my daily sem-auto grid trading update. I will seperate it into 2 segments. Segment 1 continues the $50 GP Target strategy I've been posting on for the last month or so, and segment 2 will cover the new strategy of Daily closeout if in profit, or let run to $50 GP Target.
Strategy 1:
Closed 1 run overnight, on the AUDJPY, for $29.32 profit:
This leaves 7 runs currently in progress, with the following net positions:
Strategy 2:
The EURAUD run I let run into a 2nd day closed out this morning just above breakeven, after being down about $20. The other run I started yesterday on the AUDSGD closed for a small profit. I have executed 5 runs now using this strategy - see table below - and all 5 have closed for a profit. I should state that because I see this as a lower risk strategy than strategy 1, and because I already have 6 weeks experience with strategy 1 which is largely the same except the closeout conditions, I decided to run this trategy on a live account. We're not talking about sheep stations here (so far all trades are 0.01 lot size) but remember this is about proving a strategy with no/little risk, and once proven then happy to scale up:
I'm happy that this strategy is so far working as expected, including the EURAUD run which recovered after being in the negative on the first day - exactly what I was seeing in backtesting.
Anyway, for today, I don't have any markets that I will start for strategy 1 - I have limited my options here by deciding to steer clear of EUR 7 GBP pairs. However I am happy to apply strategy 2 to the following 3 markets for today:
