    i saw a documentary recently -

    before WW2 Germany was dependent on the USA for over half its oil supply?
    But Germany has plenty of coal.

    how would Germany conquer with this in oil shortfall? they turned to coal to synthetic fuel. .

    Next their eyes were on Russians oil fields, but that didnt work out so well.
