Yes, but with the entire market price action based on perception, the 5(b) and to some extent guidance, are the true nuts and bolts of a company's position.
Failure to provide expectations by NOT reporting is a fool's folly, for what is still a 'speculative' security.
Shorting too has a bearing in the shorter term, however as I previously posted, the short positions re VWAP are not significantly outrageous.
As a holder, I too can have my own bias', and will happily stand by my own experience with price actions and quarterlies...
