At the risk of going off topic for a minute.....
We've been holidaying there for over 25 years, but never had a visit like the last one!
You're right the fireys, police, ambos, SES and ADF people all did an amazing job. But lots of property, bush and fauna still lost so will take a long time to recover. The Co-op factory was burnt and I think it employed about 20 locals.
I suspect it will be many weeks before we can go back and retrieve our vehicles.
