Misty I've had pewters for 10 odd years but am not so technically minded . My current problem is with one provider whose platform breaks down atleast 2 times a day , Meta trader 4 thing . I like the platform as it is simple and light on resources and allows both short and long posi's at the same time . I have several other local providers but but but . CMC is heavy on resources and the charting is below par with missing bars and wrong counts plus they only allow one platform open at anyone time .When they had their major outage a few years ago I gave up sort of but still use it for back up data on the 2nd desktop .
City the charting is slow and execution speed slow as well plus the sales staff are completely incompetent . fxcm is a very good platform but the company is a scam as I showed a week or 3 back plus they make u use 8-10 points to place orders . Saxo platform is ok but expensive per trade and cfd spread is to wide to trade indices on . GFT seemed ok but for ages the manager told me they were going to do futures locally but never have so I gave up waiting plus there was also a problem with their daylight savings changer over from memory . I can't remember why I left IG . I don't like IB platform .
As u can see in the last 10 years I've had acct's with many of the above and each and everyone has had different issues over the years
Most of the above platforms work ok on a slow index like spi but none of them work well on an index like the Dax , gotta go fut's when money allows .
