Great finish after a disappointing start to the day. Very positive announcement but it felt like the dumping into the sell side was going to continue, then, at 1:31pm someone decided to start buying big. Whether or not it was the same person who kept buying, or people on the sidelines realising the ship might sail without them, the buying kept going all afternoon.

@Duramax is correct, a very big volume day. To put it in perspective the volume of 15.121million today compares to the entire weekly volume of 12.428 million from last week. There were more trades executed today the the whole of last week as well.

As you would except after the positive announcement this morning trade was quite brisk up until 1:31pm with 105 trades with a volume of 3.715 million, but then between 1:31pm and close of trade a further 11.403million shares were traded. The trading in the latter part of the day was buyers wiping the sell line, rather than sellers dumping into the buy side which has been more common of late.

Hopefully some people who were planning on selling their heads to convert their options took advantage of today with the big volume to get a good price.

Over $2 million dollars worth of shares traded today and the VWAP of 13.3c is a step up from 13c from Friday.

Be interesting to see how tomorrow pans out, but overall it's good to see the market realise the potential of EXR and how undervalued the SP is considering the on-going de-risking that we saw today.
