The interesting thing about Friday's announcement was the mid-September was subject to weather. At the time there was a typhoon building and the shipping forecast was for rough to very rough seas in Palawan & Mindoro (Galoc territory)

Looks like the typhoon has passed now but I would have prefered that they mention the typhoon in the announcement so the delays can be expected ahead of time. Otherwise the delays just look like expensive incompetence.

We don't know whether they have damaged another riser due to unhooking for the latest typhoon, or as suggested here tonight, they haven't been able to haul it up since the last disconnection.

I'm just glad we have NDO as the operator on the current wells. I think I would have bailed by now if GPC was the operator for Yakal & Tindaloo.
