Interesting to hear about violin repair shop and the attraction it had for you.
I once made a shaving mill for such a violin maker in Sydney.
He needed shavings of the same wood for filling in with epoxy, etc.
Made it from sewing machine motor, pedal operated and a mill bit attached.
They were ecstatic as there was nothing as specific for their needs.
I sent photos of Dad's violin to London experts John & Arthur Beare who gave me the
"It's Steiner Copy" news. That's life.
