the pollsters have adjusted their techniques following 2016......you can read about some of the changes here:

which means that all these polls people are quoting are adjusted or "weighed"

now this has resulted in the polling slightly underestimating the "blue wave" in 2018

but will the adjustments still work in a "Presidential" election....?......maybe.......maybe not

we'll see in just over 2 weeks
