Its not uncommon to have a 1 mother, 8 kids and 5 dads scenario in Cairns.
Many come to Cairns because there is little public housing in the Cape communities and Islands.
Some of the Communities, especially the Islands, are also very strict and leave very little room for the hanky panky, drugs and alchohol that are readily accessible in Cairns.
