    PL = (PT)^2 X R/(V^2), where PT is the power trasmitted to the user, V is the delivered voltage, and R is the resistance to the power lines.

    In theory, you could have 7% loss if you are very close to the power source as the power line resistance is low due to the small length. Also with an increase in voltage you can reduce the loss. In practice, to have only 7% loss you would need a very, very, very thick power cable to reduce the resistance, which we all know it is not practical or economical.
    So high voltage power lines are used to travel long distances and then transformers are used to reduce the voltage. Losses will incur in the power lines as well as in the use of transformers.
    I guess what I'm trying to say is that a 7% loss is close to impossible.
