After a 20 day closure, the above east-west rail line reopened near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia yesterday (Easter Saturday).
Unbelievably, water then rose in one place with the line again closed for an hour, but thank God the water receded.
Many trains are now crossing the Nullarbor but restocking of Western Australian supermarkets won't be instant. However out-of-stock items should gradually reduce. While the overall effect to WOW will only be a tiny amount of its annual turnover bearing in mind it operates not just in Australia but NZ, nonetheless it won't ever get back some of the lost sales.
