transfer of shares into smsf

    This question must have been asked and answered before, but I cant find it, sorry if I'm asking again.
    I am allowed to contribute $150,000 into my SMSF annually, so can I transfer shares held in my name up to the value of $150,000. I assume if so, then the value will be the price on the day of transfer. Thanks for anyone who helps.
