If your strategy is to hold on and hope well yes it will become a small fortune.
Trading plans, strategies and conditional orders are ways that can benefit all. A stop loss may get hit every now and then, one can always buy back in if the share stabilises and most certainly protects if it continues to drop. Rising buys are much better than catching a falling knife, may not pick the bottom but better to miss out on some than losing lots.
Don't blame the market it is just another mechanism for taking money from the people who don't want to use strategies and plans and think it all just easy money.
