My memory is a little scratchy but the story goes sort of like this
There was a journalist on the Sydney Morning Herald who claimed he held a few shares of 250+ companies. His total share holding in all these companies totalled less than $40000 from memory.
He wrote an article listing all the companies capitol raising he participated in. He went in SPP's. He also applied for more than his entitlement on capital raisings when they did an x for y number held. ie 21 for 40 as RIO did.
He wrote that he made $270K doing selected raisings then selling straight away.
