Check if your Oz broker has an international trading platform. If yes, phone them with your queries. If not find a broker that has a US platform. Phone them.
Once the converting mechanism is established, see if the fee warrants conversion.
OR
Contact the US broker with whom you have the shares. Ask if/which Oz bank or broker they have a relationship with. Transfer shares if the terms meet your needs.
At all times be very cognizant of any tax implications.
