DigitalX Limited is pleased to announce that Telefonica International SAU ( "Telefonica") is the first strategic partner of the company in Latin America after the successful integration of digital AirPocket application in Telefonica's network.
The giant mobile telephony has signed a marketing, distribution and sale of DigitalX, which was announced in the market through the ASX on 17 February 2016, which will give Latin American Telefonica customers access to transfer DigitalX unique value and application of remittances AirPocket.
Telefonica, which has about 232 million points of access to telecommunications in Latin America, is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the region and is among the five largest largest telecommunications groups in the world. The partnership with DigitalX paves the way for the mobile application to be launched in the United States before the end of the month in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The strategic agreement allows consumers in the United States and Canada use AirPocket to transfer funds directly into the accounts of mobile phone users network of Telefonica in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. Other countries will be added as part of the expansion project.
Movistar is one of the "big three" providers of wireless services in Latin America.
