Someone who does not understand that insurance is all about providing security against unknown risks should not be investing in insurance.
The best the insurer can do is set a premium according to past risks and reasonably well know expenses expenses then add a bit for contingencies.
There will always be future disasters. They are only a problem when they well above expectation (as in the recent past).
