here is a possible (long) suggestion for a pro-coal pollie supporting renewable company...

If KH gets completed... he may be looking at potential sites that his mine company backers may be able to "make good for purpose" as opposed to rehabilitate at their end of life???? If you could sell a used up pit to a company for a price... rather than have to fund its rehabilitation back to a safe habitat... would you not look at the options... fair enough coal sites would have a bit of seepage... but could you line them with enough concrete or membrane to make them upper and lower ponds for hydro???

high voltage power lines would already be there, and water access would be there plus not for release mine water - all would work in hydro setup yes?
