While I am not yet happy with the current make up of the board. I am bouyed by the overwhelming support in electing the 3 new directors.
After the EGM the new directors were introduced to those assembled and they provided a question and answer opportunity.
Dr Craven impressed with his vision for the direction and composition of the CBIO board. A credentialled board of 5-7 (not 10 )members and the scientists on a seperate Scientific Advisory Panel.
Importantly he was emphatic that issue of transparency was a priority and that shareholders would be well informed of the companys activities.
By contrast Dr Monsour also spoke. He mentioned a Lupus trial in Germany on dogs that had very promising results.
A member of audience asked if this trial had been on rats rather than dogs.
Dr Monsour said no it was on dogs.
The member of the audience said this wasn't released to the market.
I think the Co Secretary said it had been on the 28.10.2011
I checked - this release was a trial on mice!
So either he was confused or there is another animal trial on dogs the shareholders only became aware of at the EGM yesterday.
Considering the rejection of Jones & Co by the shareholders I found the fact that Dr Monsour didn't state that CBIO has severed all ties with them yet another flaw in his Chairmanship. This would have squashed the rumour that Jones is still being paid by CBIO as a consultant.

I am glad I went to the EGM. Considering the paucity of information from CBIO to this point. The EGM was an info fest.
I also feel more positive about the prospects of CBIO considering the high calibre of people the substantial shareholder group has introduced to CBIO.
From here I suppose the AGM at the end of the month will be the next major housekeeping exercise.
Dr Monsour has some time for introspection til then. He could step down and remain a participant as a shareholder.
If all shareholders vote at the AGM as they did at the EGM then I can see a brighter future for CBIO.
    Make your luck fellow shareholders!
