IMO transport issue will not be much of relevant importance.
It must be considered:
Shipping cost from Marocco (major competitor) & Tunisia
to Asia are much higher that from Darwin.
Other factors to be considered transit time & costs going
thru Suez Canal unless ships will go round Africa.
Darwin in comparison is located on highway to Asia.
That will balance the costs for truck portion.
