'Are you suggesting AVZ won't need the tin credit to offset the expected high cost of freight?'
There is no evidence the transport numbers will be high, just down ramping speculation by people who pull numbers from where the sun don't shine to suit their agenda and do not even consider all routes involved.
'AVZ will also report on the mining, processing and economic transport options to the NORTH, SOUTH and EAST of Manono and the associated costs.' go HERE,

Regarding other lithium deposits...All contracts are locked in and the larger battery makers like CATL do not have their long term lithium supply secured yet. The Chinese like to secure long term supply and the size and quality of AVZ's deposit(2nd in grade to only Greenbushses/ *lowest JORC derived impurity level) ticks all the boxes for mine.
*note: '
AVZ has the lowest impurities as reported by official JORC compliant mining industry standards.' go HERE
Also,
'the new generation lithium ion batteries only function with high quality ore, which puts paid to any oversupply issues. There is simply not the quality of hard rock ore available to meet these batteries demands and brine has impurity issues and is time consuming to process.' Brine also has production and royalty issues that hamstrings production.

An example of the problems associated with companies that have inferior lithium ore is Mineral Resources as stated in this Chinese assessment from Zhongtai Securities.
5) "
Be cautious about the impact of DSO ore. MIN's Wodgina project has exported a large amount of lithium DSO ore to the country. However, judging from the current use of raw ore, the concentrates selected by most of the selected plants still have problems such as high iron content, low recovery rate and unstable product quality. A few enterprises have opened the mine to the lithium salt production line. However, there is limited room for capacity utilization improvement in the lithium salt smelting segment of the company." go HERE...and of course it is questionable whether PLS has breached the JORC code in measuring its iron content.
Also:
From Albermarle(Brine) spokeswoman Hailey Cobb:
"That’s also reflected in recent comments by lithium majors. “Battery requirements are becoming more stringent and there is a definitive move towards higher energy density batteries,”
This begs the question: what lithium impurities are okay for batteries, and what impurities may make the raw material unusable?
“Battery makers such as EVE and other companies are telling us that they can no longer use lithium that is derived from high mica sources, as they can’t produce a lithium concentrate suitable for the next generation of batteries,” Airguide says.
Importantly:
'IMPURITIES IN THE NEXT GENERATION OF BATTERIES RESULTS IN BATTERY FAILURE OR UNDER PERFORMANCE.'

P.S.
Interesting all the the mass naysaying just before the release of the transport/scoping study with people without the faintest idea of the outcome.
All I can say is that the recent bullish articles released by the company to me indicates that they want to put AVZ in the corporate spotlight and I ask myself why would they go to all that bother if the transport/scoping study was not going to be potentially viable.

Evaluation Upside
'What’s even more promising is AVZ has yet to go through the valuation uplift of JORC completion, scoping study, finance, mine development and cashflow production that many of its peers such as PLS and AJM have received.' go HERE
This translates to way more SP upside than more advanced peers, and when you look at AVZ's market cap with already having the biggest global hard rock lithium resource and a potential exploration target of one billion tonnes of high grade commercial ore(2nd highest grade/lowest impurity level(iron and mica)
you can understand how undervalued AVZ is with a lot of wiggle room for growth!
It is therefore understandable when ML stated that:
Re: Hard Rock
"I am an investor not a trader, eg. have never sold any of my AVZ holding & continue to buy over time." He also said that AVZ was his only investment in lithium."
Re: Brine
"Airguide held AGY;not myself directly."
Very Interesting!
When will the Transport/Scoping Study come out?
A number of forum members have rung the company. I decided to ring myself and was told words to the effect that they were working furiously to have it out this week, and as I write a pause in trading....get set!
