Very hard to believe that contracts are not imminent given the aggressive push to get these and KSF2 up and running. It may well be that KSM proved to be nothing more than crash test dummies. But they must at least have provided info on how to do things better.
I do recall an interview with Andy where he said the unfolding tech and range of applications was expanding as fast as they were sending up sats. At one stage I think he said something along the lines that with 20 clusters up, with each having a 4 year life span, would fit well into how often the stas would need to be upgraded anyway.
