You're spot on. Sounds like we have similar motives, except I haven't had a crack yet! I'm 21, with a Bachelor of Information Technology and 2-3 years on-the-job experience in data/reporting analytic type roles.
I recently realized that skills I actually had were rather sought after and paying very well in contract positions. I'm young, recently out of a relationship (nothing holding me down!), so it seems like the time to give it a crack. I enjoy working bloody hard and the idea of travel for work, so it seems right.
Being young, I believe I don't have enough experience to prove I'm valuable enough to provide an option that they arrange accommodation etc., so I'm offering that on my behalf.
Great to hear others have had success with a similar idea; motivates me more to jump in!
