Yesterday I was driving on a road which is alongside our suburban shopping centre. I was travelling at a speed of 50km / hour. on the footpath beside me was a rider on an electric scooter, and he was travelling at the same speed. Whereas I was wearing a seatbelt and in a car with modern crash protection, this young man without helmet or reflective vest was going past bus stops and dodging pedestrians, and crossing driveways and streets without slowing down.
One can only hope that he incapacitates himself before he kills some child.
