Hi Dis. People may have belief systems that discriminate against a range of issues/beliefs
but it may be unlawful to do so.
Does it mean that there should be specific legislation to legalise their discriminatory beliefs. If the answer is NO then imo its unreasonable to permit that discrimination beyond allowing religious institutions to make their own decisions on whether to permit SSM.
Most Christian religious institutions in fact welcome gay people into their parishes imo so why come up with what will be flawed legislation anyway to discriminate beyond the religious issue.
Under the existing law beyond religious institutions you cannot discriminate in respect to employment and other matters because of gender, sexual preference, race, religion etc so why should there be a law introduced to discriminate beyond religious institutions against the LGBT community?
