I love to join the class action. However IF listed overseas, there will be difficulties in selling the share and then cashing the foreign proceed cheque as most banks in Australia are not allowed to accept foreign cheques.

Recently I sold an overseas share listed in USA and I was hit with Backup Withholding of 24% even though I had filled the W-8BEN form and sent together with the sale Form to US Computershare Ltd. Now I don't even know how to claim back my Backup Withholding of 24% from the Sale Proceed.

Any advise?
