    Scott Morrison to his credit did not dispute the assertion that property rises in values over time would be impacted by about 2%. Unfortunately for him he was stuck with a self defeating argument. He was trying to somehow claim that negative gearing does not make housing more un-affordable while at the same time having to concede home prices would not go up as much if negative gearing was curtailed.

    Whoever lumbered him with the coalition stance needs a boot up the backside.

    Its a no win situation.
