"One of the Libs main core promises was "reduce the debt".
Guess they didn't say that it wont be in the first term though.
A two thirds increase in the ceiling is a bit rich Joe.
I wonder how long the "adults" will blame it on labor for?"
Not to single you out head, yours was the first Lefty post I saw, but for you and your mates, has it slipped your mind that Labor's Wayne Swan raised the debt ceiling from $75 Billion (where Costello had it) to $300 Billion?
Quite a bit more than a two thirds increase there mate, so was that a bit rich too?
I don't remember any of you complaining when Labor did it.
In fact I do remember NONE of you complained when Labor did it.
In fact, there were many Lefties who claimed that the debt was a great thing. Some even claimed that it was better to have debt than money in the bank.
When Labor took office in 2007 there was money left in the bank from the Libs.
Labor's usual disgraceful profligacy quickly killed that money off and left us with a huge debt burden, and now we have a new, responsible government who has no money in the bank at all, just a whole lot of Labor debt to work with.
The Libs won't fix this in the first 5 minutes, but then they'll probably have more than 10 years to fix it, just in time for Labor to get back in and waste it all yet again.
