it's a deliberate thumbing of nose at the #RBA by Albo government & Jim Chalmers Treasury Department which refuses to #collaborate with the RBA .
Why do we have State & federal governments #combating against the Reserve Bank of Australia #monetary policy and why won't the Governor at the very least stand up and say so to the public? Does she & the Board fear for their jobs and future careers?
What is the point of having an independent #RBA and the RBA ACT 1959 when the State & Federal Treasurers do NOT need to #collaborate with the intentions of the RBA Board Policy in attempting to quell inflation?
Why are we in Australia so daft to be discussing the repercussions of what 9 rogue #Treasurers including Jim Chalmers and his Federal Treasury staff keep doing by thumbing their noses at the newly appointed RBA Board?
I see it as a #Constitutional & #Economic #conundrum all the politicians are exploiting because they don't want to lose their power to #overspend by having a #referendum they could not explain.Should Sec 11 of #RBA Act 1959 be amended to include States be consulted by RBA or should we discuss having a #referendum to require the States to submit their annual budgets to #rba for scrutiny & public comment?
