THR management have responded to an ASX query concerning the Hunan deal as per today's announcement.
In reference to communications with Hunan on 13 April not being announced to the market until 17 April 2007 read what managements view is....."Absent an announcement on or before 15 April 2007 the HNG had decided to proceed, the market was aware that the transaction was not going to proceed". In other words we the market should have assumed no deal even though this wasn't announced to the market much later.
The market clearly didn't think there was no deal on Monday 16 April because the shares traded in a range of 45.5 cents to 50 cents. It was not until after the announcememt re:HNG that shares traded down to 38 cents on volume of 2.4million.
BTV announced after market on 16 April that they had disposed of 3 million shares in THR.
Draw your own conclusions but these are the facts.
