The ownership may vary from project to project but it appears the trees themselves (at least in the agricultural projects) are owned by Timbercorp Group entities in at least some of the projects if this excerpt from the 2008 Olive PDS is anything to go by:

"The Timbercorp group owns the entire Grove and all associated infrastructure including all capital works, the Olive Trees and the Water Licences other than Grove 520 which it leases from the Boundary Bend Group."
