ListerWA - Your reasoning seems watertight to me.
It does seem inescapable that their expectations were that it would be worth developing. Under what other possible expectation could they be doing it?
So, the announcement of exceeded expectations seems a very odd incentive for selling.
It is more reading the expressions "tree-shaking" and "weak hands" that always has me instinctively feeling around for the sell button - must have weak hands.
That said, it is no doubt easy enough to play with a tiddler at low price - either way. Because of that, you could as easily choose to read something into the fact it is not getting artifically pumped, whether or not anyone is trying to manipulate it down.
If it is going to be a cash cow, that provides sufficient incentive to sell it down a bit and after all, there was only a miserable $360K in the whole day's trading. One person could muck around with the price on that value of trades.
Best to just wait and see. The pot odds still look alright.
