    trends - 4th September .2014

    World markets
    - while all continue their overall upward trend are in general on downward legs within their trend bands

    US – the 5 year upward trend continues..... the ossilation downward leg is now underway ..

    CHINA - the upward trend of the last 6 weeks continues, it is on the downward leg of its recent oscilations

    JAPAN – its o/a upward trend continues, and continues.

    EUROPEAN STOCKS - the DAX - the upward trend is technically still intact although the indice has trended down over the last 4 days and is sitting on the bottom trend line

    AUSTRALIA – the sideways has now given way to a strong downward leg ......

    bold type indicates comparison or change from previous

    The sectors
    Resources --------------------now moving sharply down & down
    Energy -------------------------in o/a upward trend but now on downward leg within trading band ....
    finance ----------- -------------in o/a upward trend but now on downward leg
    Consumer discretionary ---in o/a upward trend, downward leg is now at bottom of band.
    Consumer staples ---------- in o/a upward trend, downward leg is now at bottom of band.
    Health ------------------------- still in strong uptrend
    Industrials --------------------strong upward trend continues, but now on downward leg within band
    information technology --- slight down trend continues
    utilities ------------------------ o/a upward trend continues, but on downward leg
    property ---------------------- in stong upward trend, downward leg is now at bottom of band
    telecommunications -------strong upward movement continues and continues further & further
    gold ----------------------------now in downward trend, downward leg is now at bottom of band and looks like continuing

    the above assumed trends are based on applying a linear retracement band over a period of 2 months
