I rang the NT Dept of Mines and Energy (08 8999 5322) and asked about permit EL28322 (ML 29822) which on the web site was the permit area for the the trial mining. (http://www.abmresources.com.au/default/our-leading-project)
I was told that it needed to be advertised, which is scheduled for 13th March. There is then a 30 day period for objections, after 30 days if no objections are received it is then passed to the Aboriginal Land section for approval which can take "quite some time"
I have sent an email to DH asking for clarification.
This info was as much as I could get and hopefully Darren will clarify in his email reply.
If anyone knows the process or if this applies for trial mining licence's i would appreciate a comment.
