trial over so what about the big announcement

Well the trail's over and the phones remain in situ we all know that but when do we get the big announcement?

Not anytime soon I fear!

Curiosity and nerves got the better of me today so I called PIE and spoke to Campbell and he has if nothing else corrected some of my misconceptions.

Telstra had an exclusive trial period and nominally have 30 days from conclusion of the trial to indicate whether they wish to continue with or terminate negotiation with PIE, there is no requirement to announce a roll out at this time.

Campbell is very upbeat about the prospect of concluding a deal with Telstra and said PIE are in negotiation with a number of departments within Telstra but nothing will be announced until all (Telstra) stakeholders are fully informed and in full agreement.

Big wheels turn slowly.

I find it reassuring that PIE are a conservative co and are not making announcements simply to ramp the SP so now we must wait but I fear that in the absence of news flow, the lows could well be re tested.
