Except when the difference has commercial opportunity , known as arbitrage, then you will have large buyer move to the exchange that has the lesser price.
Especially on dual listed companies, say you end up with a bidding war in the States and the SP raises dramatically due to a small share registry in the States, you will have savvy USA buyers buy on opening on the ASX. (even with currency exchange etc) Third party country buyers eg UK look for the best price on any exchange. There is still a while to wait for results but if IMC have the goods then you will see buying from around the globe for this stock. IMC are a very small fish in a small pond with some big whales, when you look at the research budget alone of other firms operating in the same sector, any sign of true success will more than likely result in a buy out , or best case scenario a JV with a Multinational. This immediately opens the door for future pipeline products to gain an instant audience with heavy hitters with budgets that look like international phone numbers .... still "the science has to be solid and does what it says on the can"
